The roadmap

From foundation to intelligent sustainable cities

Four stages, each one making the next possible. The platform is built to grow with them.

  1. 2026
    2026 — Foundation
    Digitise collection, meter the assets, connect the systems.

    Zone-level waste collection goes digital. Solar assets, EV points and air-quality sensors are registered and metered. Citizens get a single Complaint Centre. The city starts measuring what it has only estimated until now.

  2. 2030
    2030 — Smart Infrastructure
    Segregation at source becomes the norm and RDF processing scales.

    Household and institution contributions are tracked and rewarded. Residual waste is converted into Refuse Derived Fuel at municipal scale. Rooftop solar spreads across public buildings, and EV charging reaches every ward.

  3. 2035
    2035 — Integrated Energy Ecosystem
    Generation, storage and demand are balanced as one system.

    RDF-fired generation and solar run against a shared demand curve. Battery storage absorbs the midday solar peak. Vehicle-to-Grid turns parked fleets into distributed capacity, and grid dependence falls year on year.

  4. 2040
    2040 — Intelligent Sustainable Cities
    The city predicts, allocates and self-corrects.

    Forecasting drives collection routing, generation scheduling and charging capacity. Energy wastage is identified street by street. Citizens see the same live picture the command centre does.

The problem worth solving

Urban India generates municipal waste at a scale that makes disposal alone unviable, and it buys electricity to run systems that leak a measurable share of it. Both problems are usually treated as costs to be managed. Treated together, they are a resource to be recovered.

What technology actually changes

  • Reduce energy wastage - measure consumption against expected consumption, category by category, and act on the gap instead of estimating it.
  • Improve waste collection - schedule by zone, record what was actually collected against target, and make missed collections visible the same day.
  • Convert waste into usable fuel - grade residual waste on calorific value, moisture and ash content so RDF is a specified product, not a by-product.
  • Generate renewable energy - run solar and RDF generation against one demand curve rather than as separate assets.
  • Reduce grid dependence - track the imported share hour by hour and use storage to move surplus generation to where the demand is.
  • Promote EV adoption - place charging capacity where sessions are actually being refused, not where land happened to be available.
  • Use Vehicle-to-Grid - treat a connected fleet as distributed storage the city can call on at peak.
  • Monitor air quality - hold AQI, PM 2.5 and PM 10 against the interventions meant to improve them.
  • Enable citizen participation - give residents a route to report issues and a contribution programme worth participating in.
  • Make data-driven decisions - put all of the above on one screen, so the trade-offs between them are visible.

The 2040 outcome

A city where wastage is identified before it is billed, where landfill-bound waste is a fuel stock, where the grid is a supplement rather than the default, and where a resident and a commissioner are looking at the same numbers.
