About KARDIA
One platform for every system that moves energy and waste through the city.
Why KARDIA exists
Indian cities already run every one of these systems. What they rarely have is one view of them. Waste tonnage sits with the sanitation department, generation figures with the power utility, air quality with the pollution control board, and complaints in a call-centre spreadsheet. Each is managed competently in isolation, and the connections between them - the ones that actually determine whether a city wastes energy or recovers it - go unmeasured.
KARDIA is built around those connections. It treats waste, fuel, energy, transport and environment as one chain rather than five departments, and gives the people running them a shared operational picture.
The chain
Residual waste that would otherwise reach landfill is processed into Refuse Derived Fuel. That fuel generates electricity. That electricity, alongside rooftop and ground-mounted solar, meets city demand and charges the electric vehicle fleet. Those vehicles, parked and connected, return capacity to the grid when demand peaks. Air quality monitoring measures whether any of it is working.

What the platform does
- Waste Portal - zone-wise collection schedules, quantity collected, collection status, and the household and institution contribution programme with points, rewards and penalties.
- Fuel Portal - residual waste received, RDF quantity and quality grading, and live inventory.
- Energy Portal - current demand, solar and RDF generation, renewable contribution, grid dependence, battery storage and forecasts, plus a dedicated view of where energy is being wasted.
- Transport Portal - EV charging capacity, active sessions, energy delivered and Vehicle-to-Grid capacity.
- Environment Portal - Air Quality Index with PM 2.5 and PM 10 across the monitoring network.
- Complaint Centre GEN 40 - citizen reporting with photo and location, routed to the right department and tracked to resolution.
Built to be extended
The data layer is separated from the interface, so the same figures can be served to a mobile application or a REST API without rewriting the application. Service interfaces are in place for future AI modules - demand prediction, wastage detection, waste-generation forecasting and automatic complaint classification - and the schema anticipates real IoT and sensor feeds replacing the current demonstration data.

This is a prototype prepared for demonstration. All operational figures are simulated and labelled as such. Nothing shown here should be read as an official statistic.
