Terms & Conditions

The terms that govern your use of the KARDIA platform.

Last updated 02 Sep 2026

By using the KARDIA platform you agree to the terms below. This is a demonstration prototype; terms for a live deployment would be issued by the operating municipal authority.

Nature of this platform

KARDIA is a working prototype built to demonstrate an integrated smart-city management approach. All operational figures shown - waste quantities, generation and demand, air quality readings, charging sessions - are simulated demonstration data. They are not official statistics and must not be cited, published or relied upon as such.

Acceptable use

  • Submit complaints in good faith and about genuine civic issues.
  • Do not upload photographs containing other people's private information, or any unlawful, offensive or misleading content.
  • Do not attempt to gain unauthorised access to any account, module or data, or to disrupt the service.
  • Do not use automated tools to submit complaints in bulk.

Complaint handling

A reference number is issued for every complaint. Expected resolution dates are derived from the service level configured for that issue type and are indicative, not a guarantee. Complaints found to be false, duplicate or abusive may be closed without action.

Accounts

Administrative accounts are issued to authorised municipal staff. Account holders are responsible for keeping their credentials confidential and for activity carried out under their account. All administrative actions are recorded in the audit trail.

Intellectual property

The platform, its interface and its source code remain the property of their respective owners. Map data is supplied by OpenStreetMap contributors under the Open Database Licence.

Limitation

The platform is provided on an as-is basis for demonstration. No warranty is given as to accuracy, availability or fitness for any particular purpose, and no liability is accepted for decisions taken on the basis of demonstration data.

Changes

These terms may be updated as the platform develops. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
